    Days of Sunlight

    August 26 - September 8, 2024
    As we start to say goodbye to summer in the northern hemisphere, Sky invites us to enjoy summer fun in the forest's elevated clearing. Join the Assembly spirits and help guide baby jellyfish to safety. Each day there will be 6 event currency to find. 4 will be hidden throughout the area and the other two can be collected from participating in the activities available there.

    Moomin Season

    TGC recently revealed the pendant for next season! We've known since Skyfest that a Moomin collab was coming and now its been confirmed that it will be it's own season. Testing for this season has started in beta and if you'd like to discuss what's coming remember to keep it in beta jail!
    Moomin follows a variety of the characters' adventures and if you are interested in seeing the original story before the season you can watch the whole 90's series here: 90s Moomin

    Quality of Life Changes

    The patch also brought a lot of changes players have been asking for. You can find the setting to skip all cutscenes under the graphics tab in the settings menu. Another change is emote favoriting. You can now select up to 8 emotes to put in a mini menu for easy access! Only 1 level of these emote will be available for use in this menu but you can select any level of the emote to use. (and spam) Removing friends is also an option. You can do this from the friend constellation using the trashcan icon.

    New Daily Quests

    You can now pick up daily quests directly from spirits offering them in Aviary village! The daily quest locations will now show on map shrines if they require you to go somewhere. If you've not relived a spirit that you're helping for a quest then they will show up as blue and the game will tell you to meet the spirit before you get the task. This is the beginning of Friendship 2.0, an idea the devs first introduced during Skyfest that aims to make daily tasks more dynamic and make the spirits more interactive!

    Sky Slowtember

    Get ready for Sky's first Slowtember! Here's the list of prompts made by evinsky, mori and raylazerkitty. Slowtember is similar to Inktober but the goal is to take it slow and try to create something, with less prompts throughout the month. There's no pressure to keep to the 3 days for each prompt, the goal is to just challenge yourself to create something!

    Days of Summer, Days of Summer Light, and Lazy Days

    Days of sunlight is the current version of past summer events in Sky. Days of Summer and Days of Summer light later became Lazy Days when TGC decided to combine these events rather then have them separate. Summer Light used to be the second phase of Days of Summer and was it's own event. Days of Summer lights was the original and first event. The boat shop at home used to offer Lotus message boats for 6 candles and in 2022 home got a beachy makeover. This year also gave traveling spirts new props and the spirts that came during this event all had something new they did not have previously. You can find a miniature version of the home sandcastle in the elevated clearing during Days of Sunlight.
